What is the best way to create a liberal, socialist, a follower? Teach them when their young minds are forming. This in a nutshell is Common Core. While most people think it was created by The National Governor’s Association & The Council of Chief State School Officers, it was not. It was just implemented by them. So where did Common Core originally form? Does Barack Obama and Bill Ayers ring a bell? [Read how here].
The left can try to legislate gun control, limitations on free speech, and any number of it’s agenda, but to form our youth”s young minds with their ideology and grow a generation of followers is even more threatening to the American way (definition of American Way: What are founding fathers intended).
The left will accuse the right of being paranoid of Common Core. They will roll their eyes when Common Core is called yet another government take over. However, let us look not into Common Core’s creation, but what and how it changes minds through it’s teachings. What you are about to read is not opinion. It is what children, perhaps your own are learning by this devious rouse of education.
We shall start with the latest lesson that was in the news. The teaching of our Constitution, Bill or Rights via Common Core. An example of true teaching would be to quote the passage. However, by paraphrasing a passage one can include in it’s words ideology that was never the intent of the original statements. Take the 2nd amendment for example. The true passage to this great amendment is as follows: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
To teach a child, the above statement should be read as written. That would constitute teaching of fact. Common Core needs to push it’s agenda. It does a disservice to itself to teach by quoting. So, what would a child learn in it’s place? Common Core offers it’s interpretation. “This amendment states that people have the right to certain weapons, providing that they register them and they have not been in prison. The founding fathers included this amendment to prevent the United States from acting like the British who had tried to take weapons away from the colonists”. [See lesson here]
I could have a field day taking apart all the flaws of the above Common Core statement on the 2nd amendment, but this article is not about that. It is about the revisionism of Common Core’s agenda. To raise generations of children believing in a Liberal ideology.
Take another example of implementing Liberal ideology into young minds. Liberals are always saying that the Constitution and Bill of Rights are outdated. So why not place that seed into a young mind too? In an assignment a child is told: “The Government of the United States is currently revisiting the Bill of Rights. They have determined that it is outdated and may not remain in its current form any longer”. This assignment is not presented as hypothetical. A child is led to believe this is what our government is truly considering, and has spawned the assignment asking the child to write two new amendments. [See assignment here]
There are many examples of teaching the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in this manner. All one needs to do is a Google search. However, Common Core does not stop at these treasured documents. Common Core also revises history. It blames Reagan for ruining the economy, it gives credit to Mikhail Gorbachev for ending the cold war and that Reagan was hardly mentioned. In fact as far as Reagan goes, Common Core touts Reagan’s Moscow speech, and ignores his “Tear Down That Wall” or any number of greater Reagan speeches.
Common Core teaches that Linden B. Johnson had a buzzer installed so when his wife was coming he could hide women. It teaches that Kennedy had the most active extramarital sex life of any president and goes on to name a numerous amount of women. Is the teaching of history as child should be taught? Or perhaps by disparaging our form of governments leaders we plant seeds in our children’s minds that our form of government is no good. We need a Putin like leader! Oh wait, we have one.
In another assignment a child is told there is a new Communist country. The child’s assignment it to create a flag for it. By asking a child to create a flag for it, this lesson establishes a seed. This lesson could have easily been: There is a new Democratic country, create a flag for it. If I am guilty of being just as bad by suggesting the lesson say “Democratic country”, I accept that criticism. So why not have the lesson just say: There is a new country, create a flag for it.
Common Core teaches math in ways that would make Obama proud. Take for instance a lesson on math called “Distribute the Wealth”. With a cute little picture of a child handing out money. Sublime message there? How about the same lesson teaching children what happens if you “Earn” money and how it can grow (multiplication, addition). [See the lesson here]
Obama himself is not left out of Common Core teachings. 3Rd graders are greeted with lessons painting the President as a Messiah for the people [read it here]. Ironic that these 3rd graders are inheriting a debt caused by this Messiah, and they will never know the liberties, freedom, security, etc. that he has taken away from them. These children just may be the children Ronald Reagan spoke of when he said “One of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it once was like in America when men were free”.
Under Common Core a parent was shocked to receive a form brought home from her 1st grade child for her to fill out. The premise was to gather information of her family to better suit the child to a category for learning. The parent was asked to check off if any apply: Witness to domestic violence in the home, Experienced child abuse, financial problems in the home, sexual identity issues, etc. The parent wrote on the form a great response and sent it back to the school. I urge you to read it [see parent’s response here]
Tenth graders reading Common Core approved porn! Again, this is article is not about opinion without facts. I will not go into the details here in this article of the porn they are reading. It is just a click away to see for yourself [read it here]
There is hope. As of January 2014, 9 states have pulled out of Common Core, and other states are considering it. [See list here]. A politician that supports Common Core, Democrat or Republican would never receive my vote. Jeb Bush is one for instance. Although I feel there are many issues with Jeb Bush that I would not vote for the man, Common Core sealed the deal. No vote for Jeb. It is important to understand that many Republicans are no better than the Democrats that have gotten us to where we are. Many Republicans are just as responsible. It is important to understand Milton Friedman, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, and understand while Republican’s, they were true conservatives. Moderates will get you to the same place as a Democrat, just a bit slower.
The Government take over of education and other facets of our country is being ignored by the media, low informative voters and defenders of Obamaland. All to the point many will argue it is not happening. Which is testimony to how well they are succeeding.
God Bless America and our children.
